CHATTR CONTENT MODERATION POLICY

Effective Date: April 10, 2026

This Content Moderation Policy forms part of the Chattr Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”), and Content Provider Agreement. If there is any conflict, the stricter provision controls.

1. Purpose

This Policy describes Chattr’s controls for screening, approving, monitoring, and enforcing standards for all User Content to ensure:

  • Compliance with applicable law
  • Compliance with card-network rules
  • Prevention of illegal or exploitative content
  • Reduction of fraud and chargebacks
  • Platform integrity and user safety

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all content uploaded, transmitted, or streamed on Chattr, including text, images, video, audio, livestreams, metadata, profile descriptions, and direct messages (where legally required for review).

3. Core Moderation Principles

Moderation standards are designed to align with U.S. federal law and card-network brand standards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).

A. Pre-Publication Screening

All uploads are subject to automated screening for nudity, violence, extremism, and hash-matching against known illegal databases. Content exceeding risk thresholds is queued for human review.

B. Ongoing Monitoring

Published content may be re-scanned periodically, reviewed upon user report, or sampled manually. Livestreams may include buffering or delay controls.

C. Legal & Card-Network Compliance

Where card-network rules impose stricter requirements than local laws, those standards apply to maintain processing eligibility.

D. Due Process

Users will generally receive notice and a reason for content removal, along with an opportunity to appeal, unless withheld for legal or law enforcement obligations.

E. Logging & Retention

Moderation actions generate logs including timestamps and decision codes, retained consistent with legal and processor obligations.

4. Moderation Workflow

Our workflow consists of four primary stages to ensure content safety:

Step 1: Upload Gate

Creators of adult content must complete identity verification, submit ID, and maintain required model releases.

Failure to maintain records may result in immediate suspension.

Step 2: Automated Screening

Assets are processed to identify prohibited sexual content, non-consensual imagery, exploitation signals, and fraud patterns.

Step 3: Human Review

Flagged content is reviewed by trained moderators who may approve, reject, restrict, or escalate the material.

Step 4: Post-Publication Enforcement

Content may be removed post-publication if it is determined to violate policy or triggers card-network compliance reviews.

5. Prohibited Content Categories

Chattr prohibits content including but not limited to the following categories (supplementing the AUP):

  • Sexual content involving minors
  • Non-consensual sexual imagery
  • Trafficking or coercion
  • Bestiality, incest, or sexual violence
  • Extreme violence or bodily harm
  • Hate speech or extremist propaganda
  • Deepfakes depicting real persons without consent

Violation of these categories may result in immediate account termination.

6. Restricted (Adult) Content Controls

Adult content is permitted only if participants are verified 18+, written consent is maintained, and no prohibited themes are present.

Chattr reserves the right to remove adult content at its discretion if processor risk increases.

7. Payment-Card Compliance Controls

To maintain processing eligibility, Chattr may:

  • Review adult content prior to publication
  • Verify identity of depicted persons
  • Maintain evidence retention archives
  • Provide compliance reporting to acquirers

8. User Reporting & Transparency

Users may report content via in-platform tools or info@chattr.so. Reports are triaged based on risk priority.

9. Law Enforcement & Mandatory Reporting

Chattr cooperates with lawful requests and may preserve evidence or report illegal material to appropriate authorities as required by law.

10. Moderator Governance

Moderators receive periodic training on exploitation indicators, legal compliance, and card-network risk standards under Trust & Safety leadership.

11. Data Protection

Verification and moderation data are encrypted in transit and stored with access controls.

Chattr maintains commercially reasonable safeguards but does not guarantee absolute security.

12. Amendments

Chattr may update this Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via platform notice or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
